Former professional baseball pitcher CC Sabathia was out of shape during his playing days, so much that some fans do make unpleasant comments about his weight. At his peak, he weighed about 300 pounds. He, however, started a low-carb diet and exercising after a major health scare in 2018.
He was able to lose about 60 pounds, after which he focused on eating healthy and muscle building. Having played with the Cleveland Indians and Milwaukee Brewers, Sabathia's eleven-year tenure ended with the Yankees, and he announced his retirement from baseball officially in October 2019.
